Tech Tip: Download online videos from Youtube/GoogleVideos etc

அதுக்கான தண்டனைய குடுத்துட்டாங்க !!!
சரி, அந்த செய்யுள டீகோட் பண்ண எல்லாருக்கும் ஒரு
பெரிய "ஓ" போடுங்க.
நம்ம Youtube/Google Videos- ல பாக்குற வீடியோஸ் எல்லாம்
நம்ம PCகு எப்பிடி Download பண்றதுனு கீழ சொல்லிர்க்கேன்.

*********** THIS WORKS ONLY IN FIREFOX BROWSER **********
There is a plugin/add-on called "VideoDownloader" that can be used
with Firefox versions 1.5 and above.
1) Download Firefox from here
If you already have FireFox version 1.5 or above, ignore this step :)
2) Plugin is available in https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/2390
Click on "Install Now". It is just 14 KB and takes just 10 seconds.
3) Close and restart the Firefox browser.
4) You should see a small icon on the status bar at the bottom of your
FireFox window.
5) Open any Google Video (or) Youtube video and click on the icon.
6) You can download the video as a ".flv" file.
7) You need a FLV Player to run the .flv file. You can download the
FLV Player (Ver 1.3.3) from here
pretty simple installation this...
Recently i saw "Thevar Magan" film (whole film) in Google Videos
and downloaded it using the above plugins...
So, dont just watch online. Download it. Give it a shot :)

Thanks for the info. Do you have any softwares for downloading streming media files, ie like from CNN-IBN or BBC?
நான் நெருப்பு நரி பயன்படுத்து இல்லை அருண். ஆனால் கண்டிப்பாக பின்னால் பயன்படுத்தும் போது உபயோகமாக இருக்கும்.
தமிழ் மொழியை காப்பாற்றிய தளபதி அருண் வாழ்க வாழ்க... :-)
இது எல்லாம் எதுக்குங்க ரெண்டு திருட்டு DVD இருந்தா அனுபுங்க பார்த்திட்டு திருப்பி குடுத்துடறேன் :-)

u must restart ur browser after installing the plugin.
To verify ur installation, from ur firefox Tools->Extensions menu, check if u have "VideoDownloader 1.1.1"
